ROCK UPON ROCK, SNOW UPON SNOW
Yosemite National Park, Horse Creek Pass

Notes

Phil Warrender on Horse Creek Pass (~10,700 ft.), just east of Matterhorn Peak in the Sierra's Sawtooth Ridge region, in April 1979. Horse Creek Pass is on the northern boundary of Yosemite National Park.

Phil is attempting to load a new roll of film into his camera, but it is so cold the film leader breaks each time he tries.

The view is looking north, in the direction of Horse Creek Canyon and Twin Lakes. The Sweetwater Mountains are in the distance.
