This is a mandatory photograph when you climb Mt. Darwin (13,831 ft.). Much of the summit area is a large plateau, often cited as being an example of the landscape prior to the uplift of the Sierra. The actual summit is the blocky pinnacle of rock to the southeast of the plateau, pictured here.
