Second bridge on West Fork Trail (1680')

Gradients:

Average: 96 fpm

Take-out:

Off road vehicle crossing just upstream of San Gabriel Reservoir (1440')

NOTES

The pool and drop nature of the West Fork San Gabriel River is the perfect compliment to the constant gradient character of the East Fork. The West Fork is steeper and more technical than the East Fork, and at normal flows a bit more difficult.

The usual put-in for the run is at the Hwy. 39 bridge.
