NOTES

If you've driven Hwy. 150 past Stecklel Park you've probably noticed the strong sulfur smell. The area is peppered with oil wells. Oil is everywhere. There is so much oil it oozes out of the layers of shale along this run, and yes, if you do this run you probably will get some on your boat and gear.

Not far below the put-in, the creek passes through a gorge. There are a couple of fun drops in here, but the biggest challenge may be getting through the confined spaces of the gorge without passing out from the petroleum fumes. I wouldn't light a match down there!

There has been construction in the area of the bridge and the stream bed may have changed since we did it.
